What To Pack in your Gym Bag

If you’ve been keeping up with your fitness new year’s resolution, well… CONGRATULATIONS!! You are still on track to a healthier you! But if you are still getting started, you might need to know some essentials to make sure you come in the gym for different types of workouts.

First things first(I’m the realest), I stuff all my gym gear, big or small in my trusty Printed green canvas shoulder bag(which I don’t have a link to), but this is a similar one, link here!. I like the whole zipper-less design to make it more versatile when I need to throw in a yoga mat or anything that can’t exactly fit in a closed bag.

Aside from taking with me a pair of rubber shoes like my Nike Zoom Pegasus sneaks, I make sure I throw in my long time favorite deodorant, the Lady Speed Stick. It has been tried and tested, its really the best!

The two things that I constantly bring in my bag even if I am not so sure if i’ll be using it are the Nike Training Gloves and my Nike Arm Band. The gloves come in handy when I do things like TRX, crossfit or basically things that have been holding a bunch of equipment. While the Arm Band comes to great use when I go on jogs because I always prefer taking my phone with me just incase! 

When it comes to gym attire, I am not too picky when it comes to the actual apparel thats why I just like wearing my usual H&M Yoga Leggings and Sports Top. But when it comes to “support” I always like to make sure that I wear a high impact bra to keep the ladies up there!, my fave is the Nike Sports Bra (High Impact).

I don’t know if its just me, but I hate bringing huge water jugs to the gym. I see no point in bringing a 1.5L jug when you can easily fill it up at the gym if ever you run out anyway?! My 20 Oz Klean Kanteen is the best water jug I have ever had to date. It is so versatile!!! It keeps your drink iced for more than 24 hours and hot drinks for up to 8 hours. This is such a great investment! I already have two!

I am not much of a social person at the gym. I tend to focus on what I have to accomplish on that day then leave when I have finished it. To help me zone out all the overheard chitchat, I put on my Urbanears Humlan Headphones. I finally traded in my in-ear earphones for headphones because its less straining on my ears(because I also use these during my 9 hour work days), plus they are washable!

The last two things that I never fail to bring are a Generic Face Towel to wipe off all that sweat from spinning and my fave(only) fragrance, Gotas De Oro Perfume to hide my body odor after the gym!

A Few Lazy Girl Beauty Confessions

Clipping off nail polish just because…

Everyone who has ever used nail polish will understand the satisfaction of peeling a huge chunk of your polish off(not disgusting at all). It feels especially lovely when you can see the little details of your nail behind the polish. YUM

Hair washing is optional

For a thick haired girl like myself, I honestly don’t have the energy to wash my hair twice or even once a day like most people do. When the time comes that I have to wash my hair so many other things follow, like blowdrying and oiling my hair up. But there are just those days that you don’t really give a sh*t about your hair, so dry shampoo is your best friend.

No shave november?

Haha! I am so guilty of this! I am not much of a shaver because I am all for waxing. But there are definitely times when I don’t want to spend or just too lazy to go out to the salon to tame my hairy legs, so I just keep them in hiding until I can’t stand them anymore.

Falling asleep with mascara on

Come to think of it, mascara IS pretty difficult to remove out of all the makeup you put on your face. You always need to put in that extra effort or use that special makeup remover of yours. And when you miss to do that, you end up with lash lines on your white pillow case. Don’t worry, we’ve all been there!

Picking off dried pimples

I know this is so TMI, but I hope I am not alone! Some people prefer to go to the dermatologist and others just wait for the pimple to dry out then pull it out themselves. It saves you some money too!(I don’t do anymore, fyi)

Sephora Haul! | Sephora.au

As a few of you lovely people may know, I recently visited Australia for a bit and knowing the makeup-skincare obsessed girl that I am, I obviously did a trip to Sephora. Australian Sephora is a bit different from the ones in the US, in a sense that they don’t have the exact brands as the US. But for something that’s at the other end of the world, it’s pretty great selection to choose from.

Australia is generally a more expensive place to shop due to the higher taxes and what not. So I gave myself an amount of money to spend and I worked around it because TBH, I don’t need more makeup. But I did need something new to review on my blog.

ORIGINS Drink Up Intensive. ORIGINS Clear Improvement. ORIGINS Out Of Trouble. This was actually a face mask trio. I bought this because I have had a full size mask from Origins before and to be honest, it is kind of impossible to finish a full size face mask thing. So I got this one, each of them are 50mL and it allows me to try other types of masks without spending almost 100AUD on face masks alone(because thats crazy).

La Vanilla The Healthy Deodorant in Pure Vanilla. I first heard about this deodorant from Estee Lalonde in on of her Sephora hauls awhile back. She mentioned that this was the deodorant she used religiously. And I thought, If Estee loves it, I should try it too! 

Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment. You can say that I am Estee Lalonde obsessed… Because I also heard about this product from her and I just had to buy it too! I used it as soon as I bought it and wow, it is more than just a lip balm!

 

It Cosmetics Prow Powder Perfector in Universal Taupe. I originally planned to repurchase the ABH Brow Wiz , but I noticed that it would come out cheaper if I ordered it from a reseller back home. So, I scratched that idea and picked up this baby. I have no idea how good or bad this product is. So comment below if you want an honest review about this! 

Tarte BB Tinted Treatment in Light. Initially I told the lady at Sephora that I wanted a light base, like a tinted moisturizer. And little did I know I would pick up another Tarte base(because I don’t have enough obvs). This is actually a BB tinted treatment but she said it was practically the same thing.

Zoeva Rose Golden Eyeshadow Palette. I was due to pick up a brand new full-size palette because I bought my previous one almost 2 years ago. So when I saw this,  I just had to get it because first, its packaged in Rose Gold, second, there are Rise Gold shades in the palette. Can’t you tell that I love me some Rose Gold? Even if I don’t use this on the daily, I know I will love this baby! Comment below if you want a full review with the swatches and all!
