Currently | My Go To Skin Care

I know this is a bit random but I thought maybe you would like to see what I use on a (sort of) daily basis. So this is basically what I see first thing in the morning when I walk up to my bathroom sink. This isn’t all that I have but I do tend to rotate my skin car products from weeks at a time(every 3 weeks or so). These products are just a mix of what I put on when I wake up, right when I get home from work and before I head to bed.

In no particular order(because these are all my favorites):

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Oil If you are looking for something that will totally remove your makeup in a single wipe, this will probably your match. Although I prefer to lather this in my hands and apply it all over my face. This also makes removing heavy eye makeup ten times easier.

Philosophy ‘Purity Made Simple’ I play with a bunch of cleaners, but this one has got to be the most gentle one that I have tried. I usually use this when I wake up because there isn’t much dirt to clean out of. But even if it is SO gentle, this would work perfectly for people who have sensitive skin.

Jurlique Purely Age Defying Face Firming Oil I like to use this before I head to bed about 3-4 times a week after I shower and cleanse before I head to bed. Just 4 drops of this is more than enough. A little goes a long way! I also made a review on this a few months back, link here!

VMV Hypoallergenics Superskin 2 Monolaurin Mandelic Acid Toner for Combination Skin If I had t compare this to other toners that I have used, this has got to be the most potent! The smell and most of all the actual product! This gets out dirt you never even know you had! I made a review of this previously, link here! Since this is quite strong, I tend to use this only 3-4 times a week!

Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser I don’t know what fascination I have with black skincare products… This cleanser comes out as sort of a black get but when you rinse it a bit with water it looks like any normal cleanser. When I like a skincare product that does what it says and doesn’t irritate my skin, I am all for it! So going to repurchase this one!

February Favorites

For this month’s February faves, I have basically posted about the products I have been using on the daily to work and the bits in between. There are definitely some hidden gems in here. So start reading! x

Maybelline Master Sculpt on 01 Light/Medium is clearly the first one on my list of faves this month. Just incase you missed it, this is the review I made on it recently. Long story short, this definitely exceeded my expectations. everyone should grab this palette. Immediately. After an OKAY review of the Rimmel London Match Perfection on 040 Soft Beige, link here! I decided to throw it in my makeup regime before work and to my surprise, it worked out quite well. The Soft Beige shade works well under my eyes to balance out my dark circles without it looking too heavy.

I don’t think I have ever worn a liquid lipstick as much as I have with Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bow N Arrow. Aside from Kat Von D liquid lipsticks to be on the comfortable wearing side, this shade is SO wearable for a normal work day. It isn’t too bear nor too dressy. LORAC Pro To Go has been in my drawers for a considerable amount of months and I thought maybe this month, I should put more effort on my eyes to hide my veiny lids. My most used shades in this palette have got to be Shell and Cafe for the day time and then adding in Chai for the night(rarely). Link to a review I made a while back here!

I always do this, to help make use of all my lovely mascaras, I pick one mascara to use for the whole month and this time, it was the L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara. It gives a visible lift and is waterproof. What more do you want?

In terms of skin care, I restocked with the Maybelline Micellar Water(review on this coming SOON!) to remove my makeup and Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser to further clean everything off my face.

Sick Day Beauty Survival Kit

Everyone experiences THOSE days, when we just have no motivation to go to the gym or get  any work done. During those dark, dark times, we always need a little pick me up, whether it be in food form or skin care! In my case, I prefer to be pampered with some products that I love!

Jurlique Herbal Recovery Antioxidant Gel Mask | I have a few masks in my skincare arsenal and this has got to be the most lightweight one I have. It has a clear finish on application. My skin tends to be a bit dry when I am sick, probably because I lack some water in my system. This mask really does that trick to rehydrate my skin when I need some extra TLC.

Fresh Sugar Lip Advanced Therapy | I call this the lip rejuvenator. If you are an avid liquid lipstick user, you would probably make the most of this lip balm because it really repairs dry and chapped lips like no other. Yes, even more than Lucas Pawpaw! I tend to leave this by my bed side table to apply on my lips before I head to sleep to allow my lips to recover over night.

Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist | I usually use this in between my night time skin care routine once in awhile. I tend to generously spritz this all over my face before I apply any sort of cream on my face. For the most part, I like using this because the rose like scent smells really nice. And no, the rose scent is not over powering.

Josie Maran Argan Infinity Cream  | If you are into the strong(ish) argan aromatic smell, them I am positive that you will be obsessed with this cream-like oil. It give a natural boost to your skin and can also help moisturize your hair!
